Barnabas is a non-profit Christian financial ministry and is totally dependent upon the financial support of individuals, business people, churches, organizations and endowments.
People often mistake how Barnabas is funded, thinking that it has financial backing from financial planning professionals, or from other Christian ministries (like Crown). This is not the case! Barnabas is 100% dependent upon people’s faithful and generous giving. Dave and Debbie basically operate as missionaries in a ministry environment; raising their own support and all the funds needed for day to day operations.
We welcome your generous contributions. Our "Barnabas Encouragers" are those people who support this ministry monthly or regularly. We encourage your financial backing to help us fulfill the work He has called us to do. Click the button below and join our team.
Seminars do generate revenues to help with cash flow. However, most financial seminars do not have large audiences (too difficult and emotional of a subject), and within the church environment you cannot typically charge a high registration fee. When all costs are calculated (including payroll); most seminars don’t fully pay for the cost of operations for the days involved in conducting the seminar. In reality, both seminars and counseling need to be subsidized.
One-on-one counseling has always been offered on a voluntary fee basis. The majority of people we counsel do not have extra money and many are in serious situations. By the time they are financially healed and back on their feet (years after our help and involvement), they have mentally moved on and found new interests to fund (their church and other ministries or missionaries). This is wonderful from God’s "bigger picture" perspective. However, it is a reality that leaves Barnabas needing the on-going support for providing financial counseling.
