"Getting Your Financial House in Order" Seminar
This live church-wide seminar was created by Dave and Debbie Bragonier from their book published by Broadman and Holman in 2003. It is designed to give churches flexibility in topics and presentation. The seminar takes the biblical principles needed for financial freedom and uses the "word picture" of building a house to illustrate them. The different rooms of a house represent different financial topics. The entry hall covers stewardship, the master bedroom is the husband/wife financial communication portion and the laundry room is for discussing and cleaning up debt. The children's bedroom covers kids and money, the dining room is giving and charities and the kitchen is budgeting. The visual pictures and analogies make an exciting and memorable, life-changing, as well as marriage strengthening, seminar.
Audience:
Teens, college age, young adults and engaged couples will learn how to avoid the pitfalls leading to financial bondage and marital stress. They will learn how to be financially free to better serve God. In addition to the biblical and practical principles and methods learned by all attendees, each year many people receive Christ as their Savior, or recommit their life to Christ during this weekend event.
Format:
A live seminar taught by David Bragonier, Executive Director of CFI.
Time:
This seminar includes seven hours of materials. Some typical presentation formats include:
- Friday/Saturday (Fri. 7:00...10:00 pm, Sat., 8:30...12:30), or
- All day Saturday (8:30 am - 4:30 pm, with an hour lunch break), or
- Sunday/Monday (preaching at Sun. morning worship service(s), Sun. evening 6:00 - 9:00 pm and Mon. evening 7:00 - 10:00 pm)
Formats, times and financial arrangements are flexible and determined on a church by church basis. We try to make live seminars possible for every church, no matter whether they have 50 or 5,000 people attending.
