David Bragonier is the Executive Director of Barnabas. Since 1984, Dave has been teaching God's principles of finances at seminars, conventions and conferences. He writes a newsletter, regularly speaks on radio talk shows, has been a guest on television programs, trains lay counselors, helps churches implement their own financial ministry and counsels individuals and pastors. Dave has been married to Debbie since 1970. They have five children; two now married and three still in their teens living at home. Dave and Debbie have home schooled all their children and started in 1985. They now also have one grandchild. |
Along with helping with administrative duties, Debbie Bragonier teaches women's groups about husband/wife relationships, children's finances, and other topics. Debbie also joins Dave on occasion as a seminar and workshop speaker.
Scott Jewett is a Financial Planner and partner with Mars, Jewett Financial Group, located in Bellevue, WA. Scott joined the Board in 1997.
Al and Pat are semi-retired from the food brokering business (Marketing America, in Bellevue, WA). Al and Pat joined the Board in 1992, and Al has served as President. They both have faithfully served Barnabas for many years as budget counselors.
Jim Kelley is President of Capital Planning Corporation, located in Bellevue, WA. Jim joined the Board in 1992 and is a past Vice-President of the Board.
Ken Smith is General Manager for Electronic Publishing at Libronix Corporation, a division of Logos Research Systems, Inc. Ken joined the Board in 1995.
Since almost our beginning in 1984, Barnabas represented Crown Financial Ministries in some aspect. Our original association was with Larry Burkett and Christian Financial Concepts (CFC). A merger between Crown and CFC brought the two ministries together.
For approximately sixteen years, David Bragonier (Executive Director of Barnabas) was a Seminar Instructor and Counselor Trainer for CFC/Crown for most of the Western United States. Crown also used David, under the umbrella of Barnabas, to train other seminar instructors and coordinate the Northwest, where Barnabas was originally located (Bellevue, WA).
Since the merger and the publishing of our own Getting Your Financial House in Order seminar and book, Barnabas has no formal association with Crown but may at times promote their Small Group Bible Study or other materials.
Barnabas is a non-denominational, non-profit, 501(c)3 corporation and has always operated independently of Crown Financial Ministries in relationship to a Board of Directors, funding, staffing and day-to-day operations.
